I revamp my forum and blog and I neglect them AGAIN!

I guess things need to get rolling before I get into the habit of checking/updating this every day. For those of you who for some reason check this regularly and get disappointed that there isn't anything new, sorry. :(

The few of you who have actually visited the forums have probably noticed that I have been working on the design of the forum for the past day or so. It's almost done and it's looking sexay! A few people have been asking how everything with my "quest" to build a new computer has been going along. I just thought I'd make a quick update and let you all know that I may get everything I need within the next couple of weeks. By then I should be back on track with everything and I'll be throwing machinima back at you left and right once again. I may start working with the Source engine as well.

Haulting All Series Productions

Even though it's been that way for a long time. That being, this is a pretty late message.

So, I'm not going to be working on any machinima series for an unknown length of time. The reason for this is because my PC doesn't handle HD video editing very well so to reduce the amount of headaches I will get, I am deciding on not working on anything overly big until I reach sufficient funds to build a new system that can handle all the intense multi-tasking I do on my computer.

I would just go back to using my older capture card and then save up the money through machinima.com, but it doesn't record in widescreen format. And I'm not going to go through all that HD to SD Widescreen to Standard setting switch chaos. I'd just like to take it easy and make un-scripted shorts like "Halo is his Life".

This shouldn't last longer than six months.

Updates 'n' Stuff

Soon, after I release Episode 3 of Alpha Zombie, I will be retiring my good ol' ATI TV Wonder 650. That's my capture card, in case you didn't know.

Yep, that's right.

I'm giving it up. I just... I just can't take it anymore.

Catalyst Media Center sucks. (Capture Program) lol.

I'll be upgrading from my TV Wonder to a Hauppauge HD PVR. I bolded that because that's important. We all know High Definition gives us bonors.

So basically, there will be a quality boost in my videos (still in SD on youtube), but what I'll do is render a copy of the finished video in HD and put it up for download on this blog or something. I'll put a small link next to the youtube links or something (HD) or (dl.)

Anyone who's interested in buying an HD capture card and has a decent PC should really consider purshasing the HD PVR. I believe it's the only external HD capture card on the market... And it's only $210US on Newegg.com.

Not really,

But I have been getting the E71 and E79 errors (mostly E79) a lot lately, and suddenly, my Xbox just would not work anymore. I've had my Xbox for over three years so it has definitely lived past the Standard Warranty's expiration.

So, I resorted to "forcing" a Red Ring of Death upon my 360 (to avoid a $100 repair fee) by baking it in towels a few times. My Xbox would glow with three red rings for a good several hours and then magically cure itself from those unholy lights. If only all Xbox's could do that.

I tried baking my Xbox again, but this time after I finished overheating my console, I quickly unwrapped it and rushed to my freezer and stuck it in there to rapidly cool any broken solder connections before they had the chance to "reflow" and reconnect. So far it's worked and my Xbox still has the three red rings as I type this. Hopefully it will last until it gets to repairs.

SO YEAH. No Xbox for two weeks or so! WHOO!

The worst thing out of all of this is that I just had a birthday and I'm getting a 32" LCD TV this weekend. Will I have an Xbox by then? loloolollooololoolllolol

Those of you who have been a fan of my videos in the past may have noticed that I deleted all my past blog entries.
